1995 Show Winning Jaguar XJS Convertible
Author Last Post
Another show winning green Jaguar.   SOLD

This is a 1995 XJS convertible. She is a three owner car, the current owner being the third owner. It has the 4 litre 6 cylinder AJ16 engine with only 77,700 miles, which puts out 240HP and 282 lbft of torque. The 4 speed automatic transmission has a Sport mode for higher shift points. Word has it that Jaguar produced less than 4000 of the 6 cylinder convertibles for 1995.

This car has always been a CT car and came equipped from the factory with the "Weather pack" option which includes a plug in oil heater. However, despite that option the history through the owners says that this has not ever been driven during the coldest months here in CT. This car is completely rot free. It is believed that the paint is original with only minor touch ups being performed throughout it's life.

It's a Jaguar so it is armed with comfort features such as power steering, power brakes, A/C, Headlight washers, power windows, power seats, 6 disc CD changer, trunk mounted battery, rear window defogger, power top and leather interior. The suspension was outfitted with polyurethane bushings and comes shod with Pirelli P7 radials, which stay firmly planted due to the limited slip differential. For safety the car is equipped with airbags and ABS. Paint code is HFB which is Brooklands Green and the interior trim code is SDC which is Coffee. Interior is Connolly leather and walnut burl-wood also in typical Jaguar fashion. As this vehicle has been driven there are some minor flaws in the interior (VERY minor rubs) and some wear on the folding parts of the convertible top. The top fits snugly and suffers no leaks whatsoever.

Under this owner's watch the seats have been reupholstered, transmission has had a new filter and been flushed, regular oil changes, the coolant flushed and changed and she has been prepped for entering shows with the local Jaguar club.

In that vein she has won several shows, placed second in several Jaguar Club of North America sanctioned concours d'elegance and won an overall JCNA sanctioned Driven Class National Championship.

This car is completely ready to get in and enjoy immediately with a need for nothing, except your smile.

Asking price is a negotiable $11,300
