Inexpensive Luxury, 1996 XJ12

1996 Jaguar XJ 12 L

This is a very clean, absolutely rust free Las Vegas car.

It was purchased brand new at Chaisson Motors in downtown Las Vegas back in 1996.

It remained with that person for quite a few years and then was sold to another Las Vegas resident who owned it for a few years and then consigned it to Barrett-Jackson to sell via their auctions. It was sold via the Mohegan Sun Northeast Auction last year.

The new owner here in CT loved the car and drove it everywhere, showing off his new Jaguar. His son did some minor needed work to it as well, putting 4 new Toyo tires on, installing new shocks, ball joints and tie rods. Unfortunately some life issues necessitate selling her on to a new home.

At some point in her history she was repainted the original NDM Spindrift White, presumably due to the scorching sun crisping the paint. The interior remains the original NDR Cream with contrasting piping.

The XJ12 came with all the bells and whistles of the Vanden Plas or the Sovereign, including longer wheelbase, fold down picnic trays, rear seat heaters (of course, front seat heaters too), ability to adjust front seats from the rear, rear center arm rest, accessory lighting, zoned climate controls, power seats, telescoping/tilt wheel, traction control, air bags, sport mode, etc.

Of course, it also comes with Jaguar's super smooth V12 engine that puts out over 300 HP which will move this 4500 lb car rather quickly to 60+ MPH, 6.9 seconds. There are only 94,000 miles on the odometer. The interior is in beautiful shape and the exterior only has one or two minor issues that can probably be professional color corrected and buffed. Oddly enough, the car has three correct, brushed aluminum wheels and two chrome wheels, it is not known why.

She's also a bit of rare species of Cat; 1 of only 535 produced.

These felines were once nearly $100,000 automobiles, unfortunately (or is that fortunately..?) they have not kept pace with their brethren big cats such as the E-Type in values. This 23 year old stunning luxury auto can be had for less than 10% of her original asking price.

$7900 will bring her into your home (OBO).

Any questions, to make an offer, for many more photos or to schedule a time to see her in person, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Thank you for the interest.
