On Sunday 16th October, we will once again be threading our way through the New England foliage, with wines and lunch along the way.

Here is our itinerary:

10:00am Meet at the Pleasant Street Commuter Lot (Exit 39, Route 8 North; Next to the Dunkin' at 369 E Main St, Thomaston, CT 06787

10:25am Leave the parking lot, and drive North to Jerram Winery via the back roads

11:00am Arrive at Jerram Winery (525 Town Hill Rd New Hartford, CT 06057). Park on the lawn in front of the tasting rooms, and enjoy a leisurely wine tasting, or (new this year!) Hot mulled wine....

12:15pm Depart Jerram, and head North through some of the most scenic roads in the NW Corner, passing through a couple of state parks.  We will be traveling via New Hartford, Pleasant Valley and Riverton. The last section includes some sweeping curves and climbs around Colebrook River Lake and across into Massachusetts.

12:45 Arrive at the New Boston Inn (101 N Main St, Sandisfield, MA 01255) for Lunch. We will be parking at the rear of the Inn (take 57W for about 100 yards, and turn right into the parking lot). The Inn has been serving tired travelers since 1737, but (as far as I know) this is the first time JCSNE has visited. The owners and staff today are very excited to welcome us - there's a few classic car fans on the staff, and some of the locals are planning to turn out to see our cars as well.

After a leisurely lunch (no rush), we will head back out on the road, heading East on Route 57. Although a fairly major route, the traffic is light and is one of my favorite roads, traveling across the state, up and over the hills.

2:30pm (approx) Our final stop will be at Lost Acres Winery, where we can relax on the lawns and enjoy live music (if the weather is chilly, they also have ample space inside)

Please register as soon as possible so we have an idea of numbers.
